The Green Goddess was painted in a huge burst of inspiration in the middle of the 2020 pandemic. I painted her with pure excitement - a huge canvas of 30 x 40” and freedom to create whatever I wanted. There is so much emotion hidden in the organic shapes and colors seemingly growing around her. She feels like an earthly goddess - both strong and vulnerable. I think she’s very patient and kind, but also wants to walk out on her back porch and scream. It’s a fine line.
