I have spent the near entirety of my life in middle Tennessee (there was that one stint in Chicago, but after too many winters, my husband and I returned back to the south). After using my fashion degree and teaching degree, I decided to make my first love of creating art a full time career.
From an early age, I found painting served as my most dynamic means of self-expression and favorite tool for processing the world around me. Diagnosed with severe dyslexia, I found creating art came naturally. When nothing in school came easily, art became my saving grace.
I am an abstract impressionist painter who translates the beauty of colors and patterns I find in my everyday scenery, travels, fashion, and surroundings into vibrant and playful paintings.
I paint in my home studio- a converted garage, occasionally alongside my two daughters. When I am not painting, I can be found driving my daughters back and forth to things, listening to podcasts, reading, eating Mexican food with my husband, and wishing there was more time in the day and more days in the weeks.
